I basically live on social media these days, and as I was writing the blog post Top 5 Instagram Accounts to Follow, I figured I’ll post a Twitter version too. I love both Instagram and Twitter equally. I enjoy Instagram for the photos, and Twitter more for interaction with my followers. So this week I’ll give you my top 5 Twitter feeds to follow. Twitter allows me to connect with just about anyone. Ranging from professional photographers, amateur photographers, and people who just like pretty pictures.
These are in no particular order. So I’ll start with The Photo Hour. This feed had to make the list for my top 5 Twitter feeds to follow. The Photo Hour has tons of pictures daily and they are absolutely gorgeous! What I love best about this feed is that it shows the photographer’s information. It’s nice to be able to be introduced to new photographers all over the world.
Next up we have Lightroom’s Twitter. There are two main reasons why Lightroom is always on my “to check out” list. First, I do enjoy cool pictures from other photographers. Second, and what got Adobe’s page on my Top 5 Twitter feeds to follow, is they are always showcasing great articles. Lots of “how-to’s”, and technique tutorials. There are always videos/articles for anyone, from amateurs to professionals. You have to check it out.
Thirdly, Photos of Nature. You have to follow them today! I am obsessed with the photos that they post. Nature photos are my favorite. So getting to see photos of nature from all over the world is impressive. I’ll take it! Photos of Nature has all kinds of photos from macro to landscape, everything you could want to see.
Fourth on my top 5 Twitter feeds to follow, we have Digital Camera World. This Twitter feed has all the latest news on digital cameras. I have a bad habit of not diving into the “news” part of photography. There really are new and amazingly awesome cameras that are coming out, like the Canon 5D Mark IV. Yes, let the drooling begin!
Lastly, is Outdoor Photographer Magazine. One of my favorite things about the Outdoor Photographer is they have a tip of the day. I enjoy learning new tips and tricks, just like anyone, but I find these tend to be more quality. I also like that they announce different photography contests. I am hoping to find the right contest for me and then submit one. You will definitely want to start following this Twitter feed.
So as of today, these are my top 5 Twitter feeds to follow. This, I’m sure will change over time. So perhaps I’ll make this a yearly post. I hope that you get a chance to check some of these out. Let me know what you think, or if you have any of your own suggestions please feel free to share! Side note: all of these photos are shared on Twitter.
